San Diego

ASHA conference in San Diego, California

I just spent the most amazing four days in sunny San Diego, California! Lindsay and I had an incredible time! We flew to San Diego to go to an American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) conference. We spent two days interviewing, handing out resumes, and listening to seminars. But...we made sure to take some time to site see! We ended up taking a bus-trolley ride through the city. The trolley stopped at most of the "tourist-y" sites. We decided to experience the world famous San Diego ZOO! Guys, I have to admit it was pretty cool. The zoo was extremely large and so spread out that we decided to take a "tour" of the zoo in order to get to see all of the animals. My favorite animal was the"zeorse". (I really don't know what it's real name is!) I kid you not. This animal was a cross between a zebra and a horse. It was so interesting to see. When I get all of my pictures back, I'll post one. After the zoo, Lindsay and I managed to do a little shopping at Old Towne and Seaport Village. These were fun little shops with extremely over-priced merchandise. In a nutshell, San Diego was warm and beautiful!

Aren't these fun? Lindsay and I found these in a fun little bookstore in Seaport Village. We thought it would be fun to take a picture!

A beautiful picture of the Lord's masterpiece!

a new FREEDOM

I have finally caught up to the 21st century! I see the light at the end of the tunnel. For those of you who do not know, I have been in hiding for the past two years and on a mission to complete graduate school. As it turns out, graduate school agrees with me. I have enjoyed my experience (as frustrating and disheartening as it may have been) as a graduate student immensely! It has been a long road, but a road worth traveling down. As I come to the conclusion of this part of my life, I am left feeling inspired, encouraged, and ready to conquer the world! I have never felt so alive! I feel like I am right in the middle of where the Lord wants me to be, and it is amazing! In less than 3 weeks, I will be a new woman! School will be over, and I will not know what to do with myself! Hmm... any suggestions???
